By using Coach : Mon Examen Civique, you accept these terms. They are written to be read: if anything is unclear, write to us.

The service

Coach : Mon Examen Civique is an app to practise for the French civic exam: quizzes, mock exams, flashcards, Francis, the Coach and the game The Civic Ladder. It is an independent app, with no link to the administration.

The questions are original practice questions on the topics of the syllabus. They are not the exam questions, and the app does not guarantee success: it helps you prepare.

Your account

• You can try the app without an account, in guest mode. Your progress then stays on your phone.
• An account (Google, or Apple on iPhone) saves your progress and follows you from one phone to another.
• An account is personal. You are responsible for what is done with it.
• You can delete your account at any time.

The ranking and the game

• In the rankings, only your first name and your photo appear. You can leave them in Settings.
• The game is played fairly: bots, scripts, multiple accounts to get around the limits or any other cheating are forbidden. We may remove from the ranking, or suspend, an account that cheats.
• An offensive, hateful or misleading first name or photo may be removed. To report one: “Report this profile”, on the player’s card, from the ranking.

The Premium subscription

• Price: €39.99 a year in France. The price shown by the App Store or Google Play, in your currency, is the one that applies.
• Free trial: 7 days, once per store account. Payment is taken at the end of the trial unless you have cancelled.
• Renewal: the subscription renews automatically every year, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: at any time, from your phone’s subscription settings (on iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions). Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Payment and refunds: they are handled by Apple or Google, under their own terms. For a refund, contact them.
• Changing phones: “Restore purchases”, on the Premium screen or in Settings, links your subscription to your account.

Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.

On iPhone, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Content and ownership

The content of the app and the website (questions, sheets, texts, images, sounds, code) remains our property. You may use it to revise, not copy, resell or republish it.

Availability

We do our best to keep the service available at all times, but interruptions remain possible (maintenance, a provider’s outage). An Internet connection is needed for most features.

Changes

These terms may change along with the app. In case of an important change, we will let you know in the app.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, first write to us at coachmonexamencivique@gmail.com: we always look for an amicable solution. For anything related to payment, Apple’s and Google’s complaint procedures also remain open. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
